The Alpine Academy is a number of group homes using a internal school near Erda, Utah

They have a capacity of a total of 50 girls in the group homes [1].

The stay last between 10 and 12 months [1].

It was founded in 2001 [1].

The parent company is named Utah Youth Village, Inc.[2]. They also run a counseling program for Utah parents [3].

The group homes are placed in a sparsely populated rural community.

May 11, 2009 a "house parent" was charged with with four counts of rape, two counts of forcible sodomy and tampering with a witness [7]. The facility made a statement where they expressed concern. [8]. He was later sentenced to 1 to 15 years [9]
