Solid Rock Boys Home
The boys boarding school is located some miles away . According to the webpage they have the same kind of structure and education as in the original facility.
They have no student handbook on their webpage.
They use the School of Tomorrow Curriculum also known as the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) workbook curriculum provided by School of Tomorrow . School of Tomorrow requries that just one person in an entire school be "certified" to use the curriculum. This certification is NOT from any state agency. It is issued by School of Tomorrow. This enables schools to use the curriculum without having any certified teachers by the State.

A demerit system was used. Punishment was based off of that system. The first level of punishment cost the girl her snack during the Friday night movie. The next level would be a loss of both the snack and the movie. Instead the girls were sat at the dining room tables and made to copy the dictionary while the other girls watched movies. If a worker decided that not enough was copied from the dictionary she would be made to make up the work later on Saturday. The next level of punishment was confinement. When placed on confinement the girl was forced to wear a red skirt, red and white checkered blouse, panty hose, and heels. She was painted with a scarlet letter basically. During the week on confinement the girl was not allowed to speak unless directly spoken to or gaining permission by raising her hand. When not engaged in house or school work she was to be sitting at the back kitchen table with her head down reading the Bible. Girls on confinement were also made to keep their heads and eyes down. At some point Miss Debbie forced the girls to keep their chins to their chests for 55 minutes out of the hour. Girls placed on confinement were paddled before the Friday night movie. And for the record, Miss Debbie put a lot of effort into those swats.
